Every year, millions of people travel to other countries in order to receive high quality and cheaper medical and treatment services. Countries such as Thailand, Mexico, India, Turkey, and United Arab Emirates are among health tourism destinations around the world. Thank God, the diverse nature of Iran has provided all kinds of natural resources for humans. Following some natural tourist attractions of Iran are going to be introduced: Sarein Tourism Town, located 25km from Ardabil, is one the most important centers of hot mineral springs and spa in the country. Among these hot mineral springs, Gavmish Goli Spring, Ghahveh Soyie Spring, Sari Sue Spring, Ghareh Sue Spring, Pahneli Sue Spring, hydrotherapy complexes of Sabalan and Besh Bajila, and Natural Bath of Shafa are very famous. There are also two cold water pools within 5km of Sarein in a valley with an eye-catching landscape, known as Vila valley, whose waters are like carbonated beverages and tourists drink from their water, and use their spa pools as well. Khalkhal Hot Mineral Springs, located in 22km north-west of Herowabbad, whose water is from sodium bicarbonate, and carbonated mineral water with a very high degree. These springs located in a foothill that sedimentary lime layers are separated from andesitic rocks by a fault. In the south-east of Herowabbad in Garmkhaneh Village, there are also some hot springs whose degree reaches 30 to 50 centigrade degrees. Considering volcanic activities observable 18km south from Herwabbad, it seems that Khalkhal spa springs are dependent on these volcanic activities.
There is only 6 hydrotherapy somehow modern complexes near this spa, and this clearly represents the basic work in this section. Ramsar Sulfur Spa Springs: these springs are located along the Ramsar fault. Zir-e Pol Spa Spring in the south of Ramsar Is more famous, its water flowing from several points from the bottom of the spring pool. Crystals of pyrite and sulfur are observable at the bottom of the pool. The inner wall of the pool is black and porous calcareous sediments have deposited on this wall. In the east of Ramsar, there is sulfur black water spring whose degree is less than other springs. The black color is due to the existence of organic materials and manganese oxide. Meanwhile, you can smell hydrogen sulfur from this spring. In the east of Ramsar Grand Hotel, there are 9 sulfur and radium spa springs along the straight line parallel to the great northwest-southeast Alborz fracture. Taftan Semi-Active Volcano with a summitof4043m from sea level and spas; due to its unique beauty it is distinctive from another mountain of Iran, and in this regard, all climbers who climbed to its summit have spoken about its splendor and beauty, and consider its spectacular landscape very enchanting Bostan Abbad Spas located in Ask Kenedy Village is 60km southeast Tabriz. The mainstream of Bostan Abbad space inside a valley, which is a kind of fault. Its water is chlorosulfate, carbonated and hat. Around the spring there are kinds of black sedimentary, which activities of the spa seem associated with faults that are part of Tabriz fault and at the same time are dependent on volcanic activities of Mount Sahand. Beautiful Shores of Urmia Lake: at the intersection of completely two distinct dry and sea environments accompanied by delicate weather and sea breeze, sunshine, blue and purple water, there is a beautiful and colorful landscape that catches every visitors' eyes. In addition, due to localized local warming and radioactivity effects of the lake, special sediment for coastal beaches is very important for mud therapy. Regarding mud therapy in Urmia Lake, it can be invested in health tourism. The existence of salts and mineral materials in its coastal mud provided a high therapeutic capability for Urmia Lake.
Salt Domes: this dome's salt caves have an important role in the treatment of diseases such as allergy, bronchitis, hypothyroidism, heart disease, hypertension. dermatology, neurological diseases, and stress. In some countries, such as the Czech Republic, Germany, Italy, Hungary, Armenia, Poland, Austria, Romania, Ukraine, etc, despite naturally lacking salt domes and caves, they have been creating salt caverns and artificial caves by importing large amounts of salt, thus benefiting a boost in their tourism industry and especially in the health tourism field. While Iran does not use this divine blessing gift, there are many natural and beautiful saltwater caves in Semnan, Qom, Kerman, Yazd and Azerbaijan, and especially in Persian Gulf Salt Caves. Many touristic palaces with therapeutic and ecotourism properties spread all around Iran, which has a potential of widespread use. However, the required infrastructure to benefit from these places have not yet been developed enough. Although currently spas and mineral springs have a better position in the tourism industry, both in terms of treatment and aesthetics and ecotourism, in comparison with other types of tourism, they are mostly considered by domestic tourists and the ratio of foreign tourists in this area is considerably low.
