Iran is the birthplace of Zoroastrian Religion
Although Islam is the official and dominant religion of Iran, other religions are being considered as high respect and Zoroastrian is one of them who is still live in Iran society and Zoroastrian receive the highest respect among both people and government. Every year hundreds of Zoroastrians from all over the world make their pilgrimage to the holy site of Chak Chak. Chak Chak which in Persian means drop-drop, is located 55 Km to the northeastern of Yazd. It attracts many Zoroastrian pilgrims for the annual festival which last for ten days from the beginning of the third month after Nuwrooz (Iranian new year, around 21st of March each year). The festival usually begins as of June 14, or 15 each year. This tour covers all important Zoroastrian holy and respected sites in Iran. The best months for this tour are April, May, June, September, and October.
